MEET THE MARKSMAN
It waits.
It aims.
You draw.
From Ultra onwards, the black burr looks for the line that can do the most damage.
Choose your challenge.
This interactive illustration uses the real marksman engine. Select a stage, then place a herding line before the shot.
A shot worth taking
A black burr carries 12 spikes and predicts where creatures will move. It shows its aiming lane only after finding at least two useful targets. A fired spike can pop every unshielded creature it crosses, including creatures in different swarms.
The stages change the threat
Ultra (25–36) allows one armed black burr. Master (37–48) allows two. Legend (49–50) allows three, can aim at two lanes simultaneously and reloads a spike stopped by a herding line. Burrs coordinate to avoid wasting shots on the same targets.
Your line is your answer
A completed herding line stops a projectile. Each armed black burr can reduce a line’s remaining time by one second, once per line. Timing matters: a barrier is temporary.
Empty can be excellent
Once its spikes are spent, the round black burr becomes safe and follows a swarm. Catch it together with that swarm for 2x that catch’s points. The bonus does not stack. It leaves when its attached swarm disappears.
